Lot 163 Arnold Beckman
Chemist (1900–2004) who founded Beckman Instruments based on his 1934 invention of the pH meter, a device for measuring acidity. He also funded the first transistor company, thus giving rise to Silicon Valley. Three ink signatures, “Arnold O. Beckman,” one on a 4 x 3 beige slip and two on beige 4 x 3 bookplates. In fine condition.
